Heston entrepreneur Lavlin Kukrej recently established a new tuition business in her local area, Top Marks Teaching Heston. On top of the foundation of her new business, superwoman Lavlin has also just given birth to her first daughter. Lavlin will begin her community tuition classes at the beginning of the September term this year.
At Top Marks Teaching, community tuition classes take place in a small group setting. Smaller groups mean greater pedagogical flexibility and promote a reassuring and communicative learning environment for children. It also means that tuition will be comprehensive and high quality, while remaining affordable for families. Lavlin has recognised, and responded to, the demand for this kind of tuition in the Heston community.
Angela Sterling, founder and CEO of Top Marks Teaching, says ‘we are over the moon to be welcoming Lavlin into our network. She is not only a fantastic business woman and new mum, but she has a passion for teaching that will drive her business forward. We look forward to watching Top Marks Teaching Heston grow.’
Top Marks Teaching Heston’s tuition classes will be open to children from primary up to GCSE in Maths and English with other subjects to be introduced in accordance with local demand. Tuition sessions will be multi-subject, allowing children to benefit from a fuller supplementary learning experience for the same price of a single-subject home tutor.
Lavlin has said, ‘It’s now more than ever that we must work together to restore parents and pupil’s confidence. With a little extra academic support children can once again get on track and be at ease when striving to reach their academic potential.’

Angela Sterling and the team behind Lingotot launched Top Marks Teaching just last week and are now welcoming two new franchisees! It has been an unforgettable year, for predominantly negative reasons, which only makes this news even more welcome as a sign of hope and growth.
Top Marks Teaching is joined by their two new Executive Principles, Michelle Marsland and Harriet Blain. Michelle runs Top Marks Teaching Durham and Harriet Top Marks Teaching Hove. They both offer tutoring classes in a wide variety of subjects to primary and secondary learners.
Angela Sterling, founder and CEO, described the progression as ‘an absolutely outstanding and welcomed breath of fresh air. We are so proud of Top Marks Teaching and over the moon to welcome Harriet and Michelle to our family. Our ultimate goal is to help as many young people as we can and it’s amazing that Harriet and Michelle share the same vision. We are all excited for everything to come - watch this space!’
This year, more than ever, it is important that the need for supplementary education is met. While 1:1 private tuition can be expensive and focus on singular subject learning, Top Marks Teaching, and their two new franchisees, are tackling this issue by providing tutoring services that remain comprehensive yet affordable, and available in many subject areas.
When asked why she chose to join Top Marks Teaching, Michelle, of Top Marks Teaching Durham, explained ‘children need our support now more than ever in order to close the gap in learning experienced during the pandemic. At Top Marks Teaching we strive to offer help and support to students and parents to improve not only their academic outcomes but, perhaps more crucially, confidence levels in key subjects.’

Children across the UK will soon have the opportunity to catch up with lost lessons thanks to an exciting new tuition company, Top Marks Teaching.
The new venture has been launched by the team behind Lingotot, the international children's language franchise which has been running since 2010.
As of January 2021, children and young people aged aged 5-16 will be able to join affordable small group private tuition sessions run in local community venues to catch up on missed lessons in maths, English, science, humanities and foreign languages. All in a bid to get them caught up to where they should be following lockdown earlier this year.
Top Marks Teaching's founder and CEO, Angela Sterling, said: "After the success of Lingotot, I saw the opportunity to deliver that high standard of learning in a range of other subjects. I have seen first hand how far behind young people are and we'd like to be part of the solution."
She continued: "What puts a lot of parents off accessing private tuition is the price and we want to help as many young people as possible by offering a range of subjects providing tuition for double the standard length of tuition slots all for the same price. We will also be working with local schools so we can offer free places to families who can't ordinarily access private tuition."
